Children playing classical guitar

Hello! My name is Hannah and I am a guitar tutor, here to provide you with York Guitar Lessons. I have studied music since the age of 4 and started my teaching journey at the age of 19. Now, with 18 years experience, I believe I am the right music teacher for anyone who wants to make their dreams of playing the guitar come true.

Over the years I have guided my students to many successes, including graded exams, auditions, competition wins, securing places in national ensembles, playing Zak in School of Rock on the West End, and even a scholarship to The Royal Academy of Music to study classical guitar with arguably the best tutors in the world.

As a neurodiverse individual with a Masters in Music Education, I understand the challenges and advantages this presents as a musician at any level. I approach each student with an open mind, understanding and empathy so that we can work together to give you the skills and confidence in your ability, and guide you to achieve your music goals, whether that's improving your guitar skills, songwriting or working your way up the grades.
